Job Summary
Under general supervision, responsible for direct driver management and supervision of a midsize driver fleet, ensuring safe and timely freight movement, load assignment, and best‑in‑class customer service. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies while planning, routing, monitoring, and delivering freight. Must work any shift to satisfy demand, including day, night, and weekend shifts, ensuring coverage.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safety teams to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
- Fill in for absent personnel and manage special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
- Manage personnel, provide training and orientation for drivers and employees, assist with internal systems and third‑party customer systems.
- Analyze fleet operations and profitability, recommend improvements, determine key performance indicators, and create, maintain, and present customer‑specific reporting and financial analysis.
- Manage inventory, assets, customer pools, and driver assignments to balance equipment in the market.
- Perform administrative duties such as payroll, driver counseling, accident reviews, filing, resolving pay issues, invoicing, and operational or financial reporting.
- Manage yard operations: equipment inspection, replacement parts, repairs, and coordinate with maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance and safety‑related mechanical issues are addressed timely.
- Resolve service issues, routing, mechanical problems, and accessorial pay issues with drivers, customers, and company personnel throughout the day and when on‑call.
- Maintain the company safety culture: daily safety messages, monthly briefings, quarterly training, annual reviews, enforce DOT compliance and company safety requirements.
- Assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on‑time service and meet customer requirements, managing exceptions and driver ETA adjustments.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2‑3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.

- Perform in a stressful and high‑pressure environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field and 1‑2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience.
The expected starting pay range is $63,000.00 – $78,800.00 per year. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the company’s bonus and incentive plans.
