Transportation Dispatcher

The Brockton Public Schools seeks a full-time Transportation Dispatcher who, under general supervision, establishes and coordinates assignments, scheduling, and routing of all transportation vehicles.

Hours
- Monday - Friday - 8 am - 4:30 pm

• The Brockton Public Schools seeks a full-time Transportation Dispatcher who, under general supervision, establishes and coordinates assignments, scheduling, and routing of all transportation vehicles.
• Minimum requirements:
• High School Graduate or equivalent and one year of related experience.
• Valid Massachusetts Class B with a P Endorsement Driver's License and a CDL bus driver endorsement, A DMV
• H-6 printout is required prior to employment.
• Two years of school bus transportation or related field.
• Three years' experience in record keeping.
• Public school district experience is desirable
• Special education dispatch experience is preferred.
• Second Language Ability Preferred
• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform a wide variety of specialized duties related with the safe and efficient operation of a comprehensive
• school bus operation.
• Other responsibilities include: the dispatch of transportation vehicles for trips and other special events,
• coordinates use of district school busses and vans, update transportation databases and arrange for substitute
• drivers.
• Knowledgeable of rules and regulations applicable to the operation of school buses and transporting of students
• and methods of scheduling and dispatching a school transportation fleet.
• Assist in planning safe and efficient bus
• routes and schedules
• Brockton residency required within one year of employment.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
