We are seeking a Warehouse Worker who will facilitate the delivery of products to businesses, consumers, field technicians, and internal departments. The candidate will oversee accurate physical shipping, receiving, movement & storage of materials/product, to maintain integrity of inventory control.
Key Responsibilities- Receive all inbound product deliveries
- Ensures purchase order number is on all paperwork;
- Inspects, accepts, or rejects inbound shipments;
- Confirms quantity and quality of goods received.
- Properly inputs received material into computer system and forwards proper documentation to Accounts Payable & Purchasing departments.
- Communicates and coordinates with internal department for product returns/ repairs or staging.
- Deliver products to appropriate warehouse location or department.
- Loading freight for LTL carriers, Fed Ex & UPS on product shipping out to customers, consumers, or businesses.
- Unloading of trailers & containers of company products.
- Adhere to specifications, instructions, and standard procedures.
- Keep pathways clear and free of debris for easier access to bins or pallets.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks including:
- Pulling and staging of orders
- Wrapping and strapping product on skids for movement
- Assisting the field technician on ad-hoc tasks
- Sweeping and mopping of the warehouse floor
- Maintain a safe and productive work area, observing all safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as requested
Essential Functions:
- Punctuality and reliability are essential functions of this position.
- Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
- Operates picking and lifting machines according to safety and OSHA regulations.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all departments.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, squat, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
- Perform duties in noisy areas with temperatures that are hotter and colder than standard office environment conditions.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as invoices, pick tickets, packing slips, department manuals/procedures.
- Always conduct yourself professionally.
- Maintain job-related confidentiality.
- Resolve conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner.
- Request assistance from appropriate supervisor or HR as needed.
- Actively participate in department team and all-staff meetings.
- Able to communicate effectively and verbally, and always respectfully.
- Work as part of a team to coordinate company operations and complete workflow according to schedule.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of responsible experience in a warehouse setting.
- Working knowledge of computerized shipping, receiving, warehouse inventory control.
- Experience using MS Word, Excel, or similar computer software.
- Basic math and computation abilities.
