Senior Automotive Technician.

• Diagnose vehicles according to certification level.
• Perform work as outlined on the Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform complex and heavy‑duty repairs.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including Store Manager, Service Consultants, and customers.
• Recommend services necessary to keep the vehicle running; document all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends (except Sundays).
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values and company policies and procedures.

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire (in applicable locations).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school experience preferred.

$35.00–$45.00 per hour (flag rate) depending on experience and certifications.

Sign‑on bonus: $3,000.

The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment may vary and can include extreme heat and/or cold. Safety goggles or other PPE may be required.

• Stand up to eight hours per day, walk to access various areas.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion with arms and hands.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus.
