Work Schedule:
Schedule may vary; 20 hours per week, TBD.
Assists the Logistics Manager with warehouse operations including inventory management, equipment management, warehouse management, and day-to-day operations geared toward operational excellence. Serves as an integral member of the team working to expand the readiness of OSDH within Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Capabilities.
Responsibilities- Receives, issues, ships, and arranges stock in proper locations using machinery as needed.
- Inspects items for conformance with specifications.
- Conducts inventories and maintains inventory records and reports.
- Assists in requisition preparation of specifications.
- Acts as liaison to the agency purchasing agent / Central Purchasing.
- Confers with department heads, vendors, and outside agencies concerning deliveries and acceptability of supplies.
- Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Works effectively in a team environment, participating and assisting peers.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must provide documentation if education, certification or licensure is required to meet qualifications.

Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of simple arithmetic and the English language; of storage methods and procedures, inventory methods, job techniques, and maintaining detailed inventory records; of warehouse practices and techniques, stock handling, operation of warehouse equipment, and stock identification methods. Ability to write simple reports, follow oral or written instructions, establish and maintain effective working relationships, store and warehouse a variety of supplies, maintain detailed inventory and warehouse records.
PhysicalDemands and Work Environment
Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate control and moderate noise levels. Employees are required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; perform long periods of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Employees must be willing to complete all job‑related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
