Principle Responsibilities and Duties
The Document Control Specialist will work under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager or his/her designate to support engineering on projects. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintains Vendor Document Control using the Enerflex Document Control system, Wrench Smart Project, and the collaboration tool, Bluebeam Revu:
- Monitors the Document Control inbox in Outlook for incoming vendor documentation and questions from vendors.
- Responds to Vendor Document Control requests and inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manages incoming Vendor documentation that must be reviewed by the team via Bluebeam sessions, following the established procedures.
- Utilizes Wrench to return vendor documentation to the vendor after Enerflex review.
- Expedites internal team to ensure timely approval of vendor drawings.
- Reports weekly on the status of vendor approval documentation.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain on needed documentation and issues.
- Maintains Engineering Document Control using the Enerflex Document Control system, Wrench Smart Project, for the Project Execution Team via the following actions:
- Reviews Engineering and Design documentation versus the Document Control System to ensure consistency.
- Releases engineering and design documents through Wrench for both internal (shop) and external (client) customers according to schedule.
- Develop solutions to problems that arise on the projects.
- Includes interfacing with Enerflex Project Management, Engineering, Drafting, Purchasing, Shop, Quality and Vendors to ensure specified items are ordered according to specifications.
- Respond in a timely manner to all queries from internal customers.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Promote and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure all engineering activities are conducted safely and in compliance with HSE regulations.
- Support and collaborate on generation and development of department goals and objectives.
- Training of new employees as required.
- Complete other tasks and deliverables as requested.
- Adhering to core business hours unless meetings or personal appointments prevail.
- Ensure managers and other interested parties within the organization know our whereabouts during core hours.
- Efficient work habits.
- Consistently maintain a positive “Can-Do” attitude and foster a “Can-Do” attitude of the people that work with us.
- Be ambassadors to company rules and regulations, protecting company information, property, and interests.
- Promote and nurture a respectful and engaging place to work with a focus on technical excellence and accountability.
Education
- High School graduate.
Previous Assignments
- 6-10 years’ experience in an administrative or Documentation Control environment.
- Exposure to the oil & gas industry would be preferred.
Qualifications
- Required
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Fluency in English.
Qualifications
- Preferred
- Experience with SAP or MRP systems preferred.
- Two years’ experience with fabrication and assembly of process equipment.
- Experience with packaging Gas Processing and Treating Plants.
- Software familiarity (SAP, Wrench, Bluebeam).
- Interpersonal skills.
Professional attitude. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical RequirementsFast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
