Turing is looking for candidates who have solid experience in journalism, editorial management, or media analysis, particularly at the level expected for experienced journalists, editors, or news analysts working across print, digital, or broadcast platforms.

Role Overview
  • In this role, you will be working on projects to help evaluate and improve AI using your newsroom expertise, editorial judgment, and communication skills.
  • No prior AI experience is required.
  • These projects will help you learn how to leverage AI to enhance content creation, fact‑checking, reporting accuracy, and editorial workflows.
What Does Day-to-Day Look Like
  • Design and evaluate real‑world editorial and reporting scenarios to test AI reasoning and writing quality.
  • Write clear, structured analyses for journalism‑related tasks such as article structuring, news verification, and bias detection.
  • Evaluate AI responses for factual accuracy, ethical integrity, and adherence to journalistic standards.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers to strengthen model understanding of news production, editorial judgment, and storytelling quality.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience as a journalist, reporter, editor, or news analyst.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (completed or in progress) in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong English writing, editing, and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to explain complex journalistic and media concepts clearly and concisely.
