Practicum I for School Counselor:
Description of Position

The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Northeastern State University invites applications for a part-time adjunct position serving the counseling program. The successful candidate should have expertise and the ability to teach in person and online, and have a background in school counseling. This position will be based on the Broken Arrow campus, with courses offered across Tahlequah, Broken Arrow, and Muskogee campuses.

• Teach Practicum I for School Counselors.
• Develop course materials and teach assigned courses within the curriculum.
• Ensure course delivery integrates technology, including Face-to-Face classes.

• Previous experience teaching counseling at the graduate level is preferred.
• Education Requirements:
  
  A Master’s degree in Counseling is required with extensive experience in School Counseling.

$800/Credit hour

Summer 2026

The Department of Psychology and Counseling is housed in the College of Education and is comprised of twenty-three (23) full-time faculty members serving an undergraduate program in psychology and a graduate program in counseling. The faculty represent a diverse group of professional educators and we embrace and celebrate this diversity within our department. We are one of the largest departments at NSU in terms of the number of faculty and students, both undergraduate and graduate.
