Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher
Location: Skiatook, OK
Role: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom setting, ensuring that all students have access to the curriculum and learning support they require.
- Assess students abilities and progress, adjusting teaching strategies and interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize various teaching methods, materials, and technology to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates to parents and school administrators.
Requirements:
- Valid Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Credential.
- Compliance with all local and state certification and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in a self-contained classroom is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
