This position requires a Bachelor's degree and valid Oklahoma certification in the subject area taught, meeting Oklahoma State Department of Education and federal standards for a qualified teacher. The role involves reading, analyzing, and interpreting written information; writing required reports and correspondence; presenting information orally; working with mathematical concepts; solving practical problems; and interpreting instructions in various forms. The teacher is responsible for employing a variety of instructional techniques to achieve district curriculum and goals, ensuring student mastery through projects, assignments, and assessments.
They must participate in professional development and maintain accurate records. The teacher creates a conducive learning environment, develops lesson plans, and communicates regularly with parents. They are expected to exercise sound judgment, adapt to changes, project a professional image, build positive relationships, and manage challenging situations professionally. Regular and reliable attendance is required, with at least 95% attendance consistent with district policy and contractual agreements.
The position involves primarily inside working conditions with some exposure to environmental conditions during outside duty. Physical standards include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, and having close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
