AFJROTC Instructor

Provides leadership and instruction for the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) program. Delivers curriculum in aerospace science, leadership education, citizenship, and character development while promoting academic achievement, responsible citizenship, leadership, and community service. Oversees all aspects of the AFJROTC program in accordance with Air Force and Broken Arrow Public Schools requirements.

Plan and deliver instruction in Aerospace Science and Leadership Education curriculum in accordance with Air Force Junior ROTC program requirements. Lead and manage all aspects of the AFJROTC program in compliance with Air Force and district policies. Supervise and coordinate Leadership Development Requirements (LDRs), including extracurricular activities such as Color Guard, Drill Team, Marksmanship Team, Academic Bowl, Rocketry, and other approved student organizations.

Organize and supervise field trips, competitions, military visits, STEM experiences, and community service activities. Maintain accountability, security, and inventory of all Air Force-issued equipment, uniforms, and property. Manage Air Force-allocated program funds in accordance with applicable regulations. Serve as department head for the AFJROTC program. Recruit, mentor, and retain students while fostering leadership, citizenship, teamwork, and personal responsibility. Maintain program records, reports, inspections, and documentation as required by Air Force regulations.

Coordinate with school administration, counselors, faculty, parents, military representatives, and community organizations to support student success. Represent the Air Force and Broken Arrow Public Schools with professionalism while maintaining military appearance and standards. Participate in required professional development and maintain instructor certification. Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or district administration.
