The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the research, design, development, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical instruments. This role supports the full product lifecycle, from concept through production, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the position collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, and vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform product design, development, and testing activities.
  • Evaluate design quality and reliability to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review product documentation and manufacturing procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical presentations, and training documentation.
  • Communicate with internal departments, customers, and vendors regarding product development.
  • Design and test product packaging and sampling systems.
  • Apply knowledge of materials, stress analysis, heat transfer, and thermal design to product development.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct product verification and validation testing.
  • Travel Required:

    up to 25% internationally and domestically.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design of process analytical instruments.
  • Must possess Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration/licensure
  • Proficiency in Solid Works.
PREFERRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Posesses an active P.E. license in the state of Oklahoma
  • Experience with design for manufacturability and industry-standard practices (sheet metal, castings, plastics, etc.).
  • Familiarity with product safety and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of API and ISO specifications related to oil, gas, and geothermal instrumentation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
