Role OverviewCinemark Assistant Operations Managers play a crucial role in the seamless functioning of the theatre. You will ensure adherence to policies and procedures while achieving the highest operational standards. As a cross‑trained team member, you will support various departments and deliver inspiring training to fellow employees. This position has a clear career path, advancing from Assistant Manager to Senior Assistant Manager, and eventually to Theatre Manager or General Manager upon successful completion of the Management Accreditation Program and after a minimum of six months of experience.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain close collaboration with the General Manager
- Communicate and support the General Manager's directives to team members
- Engage in all theatre job functions across departments
- Train and mentor team members in their respective roles
- Assist in preparing administrative documents and special reports for the General Manager
- Conduct regular inspections of the theatre, including property, landscaping, and equipment conditions
- Report maintenance needs for properties and equipment to the General Manager
- Ensure adherence to the dress code by all theatre team members
- Enhance guest experiences through direct interaction and ensure exceptional customer service
- Learn and apply Cinemark's established policies and procedures consistently
- Document any employee relations issues and communicate with the General Manager (or report online in their absence)
- Uphold high standards of work ethic and conduct among management
- Maintain cleanliness by routinely sanitizing high‑contact areas for employees and guests
- Utilize personal protective equipment as required for specific tasks
- Be adaptable to the cleaning tasks' frequency and scope
- Address safety or security concerns appropriately (e.g., trip hazards or suspicious individuals)
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Complete the first three courses of the Management Accreditation Program
- Finish any necessary food handling training and obtain required local or state certifications
- Complete Safe Alcohol Service training if involved with alcohol sales
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance is essential
Bring an enthusiastic and friendly demeanor to each shift - Provide top‑notch guest service
- Possess solid cash handling and basic math abilities
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse individuals
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Follow directions and respond promptly to requests
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
- Possess ability to train and guide others
- Conflict resolution skills are essential
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Regular standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre
- Noise levels may vary from moderate to high
- Ability to stay on your feet for extended periods
