Job Summary

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Schedule:

Day Shift – Autonomy with 8, 10, and 12‑hour shifts available

Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Current or temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Preferred:
Six months to one year experience as a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care of adult and geriatric patients.
BLS certification required. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
