MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Minimumof Bachelor'sdegreein

Nutrition/Dietetics,Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related fields. Registered and Licensed Dietitian preferred

Experience:

Minimum of four years progressively more responsible work experience in nutrition/food service required.

Public school or federal food service program experience preferred.

Skills:

Demonstrate supervisory ability, excellent organizational and communication skills, knowledge of food preparation and department of health regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assess the nutrition education needs of the district and coordinate/integrate nutrition education with the district curriculum. Work with Director to select age appropriate education materials and activities.

Plan/attend Health Fairs held by sites or community to promote the importance of Child Nutrition Programs.

Managestudentallergiesandspecial diets.

  • Create and compile all menu rotations for school sites and special dietsfor design and upload to district website
  • Maintainandreviewallaccreditationstatements
  • Monitorandsupervisefreezer/cooler temperatures.
  • Ordergrocerieswhen necessary.
  • Overseesummerfeeding.
  • Workwith

    DirectortoupdateSOP's.
  • Workwith Directoronstatereports.
  • Maintainnutritionalinformationin Mosaic menu planner.
  • Attendmonthlymanager'smeetings.
  • Conductsiteinspectionswhen needed.
  • HelpCNCoordinator(Staffing) developprofessionalstandardsforall employees.
  • Coordinate&placepromotionsinmenu cycle.
  • Workwith Directortomaintainandupdate Allergy information .
  • Maintainwellnesspolicyandparticipatein District wellness committee.
  • Otherarearesponsibilitiesasassignedby Director.
ESSENTIAL BEHAVIOR

Ability to use sound judgment in any  able to deal successfully andrapidly with changes in assignments and properly respond to applicable correspondence/communication received.

ATTENDANCE STATEMENT

Ability to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% minimum attendance.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Office atmosphere at Central Office.

May be exposed to institutional kitchen environment during inspections, employee training, etc.

Sitting as required to complete tasks.

Use of hands to do fine finger work as operating a computer.
