The Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the organization. This position involves ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing employee relations, facilitating recruitment and onboarding, administering benefits, and supporting various HR initiative to promote a positive workplace culture.
Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel, assisting in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, preparing and maintaining employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Preparing onboarding materials, coordinating pre‑employment screenings, and assisting with orientation activities
- Organizing employee engagement activities, conducting stay interviews, and promoting our culture of inclusion
- Working closely with a Senior HR Manager to provide clear and concise communication of policies and procedures to ensure a customer driven environment.
- Assisting in recruitment efforts to fill vacant positions, through job postings, application/resume review and coordination of interview process with hiring managers.
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Serving as liaison between employees and management.
- Assisting leaders/managers with performance management initiatives, retention strategies and employee development.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Resources, Business or Management
- 2-3 years HR experience (required)
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
- Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (required) - Proven time management skills: ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively
- Exceptional judgment and common sense, demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing employee‑centric solutions
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Results‑oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast‑paced environment
- Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
