- Education:
High school diploma or GED; some formal college computer training required; associate degree in a computer field preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 1 year in a technology-related position such as help desk, customer support, or computer operations; experience with Macintosh, Windows, and networking required. - Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of PCs and a variety of hardware and software including Microsoft Office Suite; strong problem resolution and communication skills; working knowledge of MS Windows XP and 7 and basic networking concepts. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and a personal vehicle.
- Establishes and maintains strong communication between Technology Services, child nutrition staff, and the technology contact team member at each site.
- Provides assistance in all aspects of technology at the assigned site for the child nutrition department and remote assistance/troubleshooting in all aspects of technology including email and Internet support for the child nutrition department. Answers questions and/or resolves computer problems for district child nutrition staff in person, via telephone, or from a remote location. Provides assistance and instruction for use of software and hardware to site child nutrition staff as directed.
- Serves as first-line response, renders assistance as requested, completes computer repairs, and creates work orders from remote location via telephone for the district child nutrition department.
- Maintains technology inventory for child nutrition sites; tracks software licensing and the use of software at sites in accordance with district policy.
- Serves and first-line response, renders assistance as requested, and completes repairs in the following areas for child nutrition sites:
- District computer software and new installations
- Computer hardware and new installations
- File server and new installations
- Site specific software
- New technology purchases for each cafeteria site or Child Nutrition Department
- Training or Instructional Assistance on new software or hardware.
- Wi‑Fi and connectivity assistance and troubleshooting for child nutrition areas and cafeterias.
- May assist Site Technology Support Specialists with technology duties or projects; may assist the Technology Department in general with special projects outside of child nutrition support duties when time permits.
- Assist in any other duties prescribed by the Sr. Executive Director of Technology within Technology Services or Child Nutrition areas related to technology and the use of technology in those areas.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build harmonious rapport and work cooperatively with all levels of district staff; ability to handle criticism and respond appropriately to complaints. Ability to use sound judgment in any situation.
- Ability to receive and appropriately respond to directions from supervisor; handles problematic and/or difficult situations by communicating to the appropriate person. Exercises discretion in site/staff personnel issues.
- Must be able to perform optimally and accurately in an environment involving frequent interruptions, fast pace, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
Able to be in attendance for assigned work schedule with 95% minimum attendance.
Environmental ConditionsPrimarily inside working conditions with limited exposure to extreme environmental conditions. Some exposure to dust.
Physical Standards- 50% of time is spent sitting.
- Job requires ability to grasp and manipulate hand tools for computer repair.
- Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate objects and supplies of up to 50 lbs for up to 50 feet is required.
- Standing in place for short periods.
- Walking as required to access equipment and perform responsibilities.
- Use of hands to do fine finger work.
- Strong eye‑hand coordination.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Lifting of objects over the head.
- Talking and hearing as to communicate concerning job‑related duties as assigned.
