Automotive General Manager
We are seeking a full‑time Automotive General Manager to oversee and motivate our talented team of professionals. The ideal candidate has at least three years of successful management experience in the automotive industry, a strong desire for integrity, and a proven track record of leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, remedy customer complaints promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction metrics are met.
- Recruit, hire, and train service managers, office managers, and sales/finance department managers to achieve profit targets.
- Assist with the creation of affordable advertising campaigns and programs to increase sales and brand visibility.
- Attend manager meetings and establish working relationships with owners, managers, and dealership staff to implement sales processes and recommend daily unit sales.
- Implement growth strategies aligned with automotive group objectives by assessing profit & loss and maintaining vehicle inventory that meets local market needs.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy before sharing them with upper management.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations impacting vehicle sales and the automotive industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Three or more years of experience in a sales manager or general manager position for a dealership or auto group.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and current trends.
- State‑issued driver's license with acceptable driving record for dealership‑owned vehicles.
- Strong communication skills, track record of leadership, and ability to interpret profit & loss statements.
