Within the Labor and Delivery service line—part of a comprehensive women’s health and maternity program—the Director of Labor and Delivery will guide an integrated obstetric, perinatal, and mother–baby continuum that offers high‑acuity exposure, collaborative OB/Anesthesia/Peds teamwork, modern birthing suites, and seamless transitions of care; the unit’s strategic position is close to city, large hospital, offering the best of metropolitan access with the resources of a major acute‑care environment, while supporting compassionate, personalized experiences for growing families.
Responsibilities- Lead experienced charge RNs, educators, and interdisciplinary partners to drive staffing excellence.
- Steward the unit budget and ensure financial stewardship.
- Maintain AWHONN‑aligned standards and readiness for emergencies.
- Implement and oversee maternal safety bundles.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient experience.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and support Just Culture.
