Bama's schedule requires team members to be present for daily meetings 3rd Shift (10:45).

Description: At Bama, the General Production position is expected to understand, engage, and participate in the production activities in their area or position. Directly responsible for making a high quality, safe product; while minimizing scrap, meeting customer expectations, and ensuring a safe work environment and practices.
Responsibilities- Set up, monitor and adjust to compliance the automated machinery.
- Measure, weigh, and record raw product data and transfer data to the SPC sheet to ensure product is consistent by all specs.
- Perform routine equipment repairs and assist maintenance with in-depth repairs/modifications.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out and processed correctly for area of responsibility.
- Participate in teams.
- Make ongoing process improvements.
- Understand manufacturing process and possess the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Fully engage in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program; maintain and understand all equipment in area of responsibility.
- Troubleshoot failures and identify corrective actions.
- Participation in other plant initiatives (i.e., safety programs, quality, productivity).
- Must possess ability to operate designated machinery and function in assigned position.
- Must possess ability and aptitude to identify, correct and improve potential safety items; both human and food.
- Must actively participate in plant safety initiatives with the responsibility to for self and others.
- Must submit to all assessments and testing, including math/reading test and EQ assessment testing. Also display aptitude for positions based on aptitude testing and assessments.
- Must display effective EQ attributes such as communication skills and listening skills.
- Understand manufacturing guidelines for food safety and sanitation.
- Experience with set-up and operation of packaging machinery.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Must have proven safety record in past work history.
