Planner, Manufacturing ​/ Production, Production Manager

Production Planner, High Security Fence Products (Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company) is looking for a Production Planner to manage schedules and materials for our high‑security fence products.

• Produce and manage production schedules and work orders to ensure deadlines for shipments are met.
• Adjust schedules as needed based on production delays, equipment maintenance, raw‑material delays, or changes in demand.
• Establish a good working relationship with Production and Planning Supervisors regarding status, potential delays, and other issues affecting production.
• Communicate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
• Manage inventory of stock, non‑stock materials, and aging inventory.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production planning process and implement solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Assemble facts and data to make informed decisions on balancing production work centers, schedules, material availability/lead times, and customer requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Comprehension of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles and systems.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Ability to understand and determine workflow and capacity limitations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to multitask, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent analytical abilities.
