Manual Machinist VTL

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist with strong Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience to join their team in Broken Arrow. This is a hands-on role supporting industrial valve and mechanical equipment repair operations within a shop environment.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong manual machining experience who takes pride in precision work, problem-solving, and producing high-quality finished parts.

Shift: 6am-4:30pm (some overtime may be required)

Pay: $25.00-$30.00/hr DOE

• Set up and operate manual Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
• Machine and repair industrial components to precise tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and work orders
• Perform precision measurements and inspections using appropriate tools
• Support repair and refurbishment of valve and mechanical equipment components
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work closely with shop personnel to support production schedules and project timelines

• Strong experience operating manual VTL equipment or similar required
• Ability to read blueprints and machining drawings
• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision machining
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable work history and strong work ethic
• High School Diploma or GED required
