Step into a hands‑on shop role where your manual VTL expertise keeps industrial valves and mechanical equipment performing at their best. You’ll join our client’s team in Broken Arrow, applying careful setup, tight‑tolerance machining, and thoughtful problem‑solving to deliver high‑quality finished parts.
A day in this roleYou start at 6:00 a.m., review work orders and drawings, and set up a manual Vertical Turning Lathe. Throughout the day, you’ll turn and repair components to exact specifications, verify dimensions with precision metrology tools, and collaborate with the shop team to hit production schedules. You’ll troubleshoot, adjust, and document as needed—always keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe. Overtime may be needed to meet deadlines.
Whatyou’ll do
- Set up and operate manual Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
- Machine and repair industrial components to precise tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and work orders
- Perform accurate inspections using precision measurement tools
- Support repair and refurbishment of valve and mechanical equipment components
- Troubleshoot machining challenges and make adjustments
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe shop environment
- Coordinate with shop personnel to meet production schedules and project timelines
- Proven experience operating manual VTL equipment (or closely related manual turning equipment)
- Fluency in reading blueprints and machining drawings
- Background in precision machining with tight tolerances
- Strong mechanical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail
- Self‑directed work style with minimal supervision
- Reliable work history and strong work ethic
- High School Diploma or GED required

Shift: 6am–4:30pm (some overtime may be required)
Pay: $25.00–$30.00/hr DOE
