Mill Operator

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Roll Form Mill Operator
. This position will be responsible for the roll form operations and equipment of the mill to ensure continuous operation during the shift. This will be a 2nd shift position;
Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.

• Maintain safety, quality, and operational priorities above all.
• Keep the mill operational and maintain a clean, safe, organized work area (5S).
• Cross‑train team members on parts programming and mill set‑ups.
• Perform TPM of process and equipment in the area.
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor.
• Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products; minimize scrap.
• Work with maintenance hands‑on to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Document downtime through a seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using special measuring devices (calipers, tape measure).
• Ability to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming.
• Roll tooling experience with set‑ups and changeovers (changing press dies, cut‑off jaws, blades, refilling oil levels of equipment).
• Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification.
• Experience with robot programming.
• Good communication skills with coworkers to ensure continuous flow of the mill and proper tagging of product.
• Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
• Team player for continuous improvement activities.
