Supervisor Maintenance
Carpenter Technology Corporation is an integrated mill manufacturing high quality premium and ultra-premium forged bar and billet products from melt to ship, and we are seeking a Supervisor Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide maintenance employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations.
- Promptly address performance issues.
- Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially those related to safety plans and results.
- Execute planned and scheduled maintenance operations within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain well‑organized and productive work areas.
- Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma required; two‑year college degree preferred.
- Minimum two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment.
- Practical understanding of industrial/maintenance principles, standards, methods, and practices.
- Knowledge of disciplined problem‑solving methods and positive employee relations practices.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and sets high expectations for performance.
- Innovative problem‑solving skills, including motivation to discover “Win‑Win” outcomes whenever possible.
- Good business judgment and decision‑making skills.
- Direct, candid, and mature interpersonal skills.
- Trustworthy and able to influence others.
- Willingness to offer a dissenting opinion before final decisions are reached.
- Assertiveness in support of safety and operational requirements.
- Ability to successfully coordinate internal and external resources, and to organize and prioritize tasks.
