A key challenge in this role is ensuring consistent availability of materials and the timely release of work to support efficient shop floor execution. Strong emphasis will be placed on improving manufacturing throughput, reducing lead times, increasing inventory turns, and improving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Basic material analysis and planning, change‑management control, generating purchase orders for external suppliers, disposition of inactive and obsolete inventory, and maintaining system data integrity.
- Accountable for accurately creating, maintaining, releasing, and reconciling production orders.
- Work closely with warehousing to ensure raw material is released in a timely manner.
- Schedule machines to maintain at capacity.
- Analyze aged WIP and review inactive and obsolete material.
- Daily internal communication with shipping, receiving, warehouse, quality control, inspection, and production.
- Work in a team environment: attend and participate in scheduled meetings, support team business goals, and adhere to team ground rules and norms.
- Represent Solar Turbines to external suppliers and interface directly with clients.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Basic computer skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
- Initiative, leadership, time management, and effective communication skills.
- Associate’s degree.
- Experience in manufacturing, inventory control, or planning environment.
Summary Pay Range: Target salary approximately $62-75K depending on experience.
