Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up machinery.
  • Perform basic maintenance on machinery.
  • Support other machine centers within the department on a rotation basis or as needed.
  • Observe production and monitor equipment to maintain quality standards and ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items from machinery and equipment.
  • Communicate with material handlers and production leads when materials are needed or are ready to move.
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance tasks to keep tools, equipment, and work stations cleaned, organized, and safe.
  • Comply with company operating procedures, safety policies, OSHA guidelines and established performance standards.
Qualifications
  • High School/or GED
  • Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide, read a measuring tape, calipers, digital indicators)
  • Self-starter
  • Basic computer knowledge/skills
  • Problem solver/decision making skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to type, handle or feel objects.
  • Employee will reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision and hearing abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and hear well enough to communicate with customers and co-workers.
Work Environment
  • Indoor Manufacturing environment with varying degrees of noise levels and seasonal temperature extremes
