Registered Nurse RN Women and Infant Services PRN

Position Summary

Per Diem Registered Nurse (PRN) in Labor and Delivery at East Morgan County Hospital, Brush, Colorado. The RN provides direct care to laboring patients, delivers newborns, and manages postpartum care in a small‑town critical access hospital setting.

• Triage incoming patients and assess maternal and fetal status.
• Provide direct care to laboring patients, including monitoring progression and offering emotional and clinical support.
• Participate in delivery of newborns alongside the care team.
• Deliver postpartum care to both mother and baby, ensuring safety, comfort, and education.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies and clinical best practices.

  This PRN role does not come with benefits or a guaranteed number of hours per week.

• Current or valid RN license in the state of practice or a temporary/interim RN license or compact RN licensure for the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience in Labor and Delivery within the past 12 months.
• Ability to provide clinical care in a hospital setting and maintain performance competencies through annual validations.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification in Maternal/Newborn Nursing preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

$33.11 - $55.18 / hour
