This Veterinary Assistant role is focused on supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians while delivering high-quality patient care, client education, and hospital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and workflow.
- Prepare for and perform tasks that do not require direct veterinarian or technician involvement.
- Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients as permitted by state regulations.
- Educate clients on preventive care, wellness plans, hospital services, and pet health.
- Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records.
- Ensure a clean, safe, organized, and compliant hospital environment.
- Assist with surgeries when applicable.
- Utilize veterinary assistant skills in accordance with NAVTA guidelines and state practice acts.

- Completion of a NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent education/training/experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform all required veterinary assistant skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old for radiology-related duties.
- One year of related experience required; customer service experience preferred.
