We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on customer quality concerns, supplier quality development, corrective actions, new product quality planning, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate corrective action activities using structured problem-solving methodologies
- Serve as a primary quality contact for customer and supplier quality-related issues
- Support new product introduction activities, including APQP and PPAP processes
- Conduct supplier quality assessments and assist with supplier performance improvement initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on product quality, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with requirements
- Assist with inspection, measurement, testing, and root cause investigations as needed
- Support quality system initiatives and maintain compliance with applicable industry standards
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
- Quality Engineer - Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated ownership of quality processes and corrective actions
- Quality Systems & Problem Solving - Experience leading corrective actions and root cause investigations using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D or equivalent)
- Core Quality Tools - Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and other AIAG core quality tools
- Engineering Interpretation - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Measurement & Analysis - Experience with metrology, statistical analysis, and quality control methodologies
- Supplier Quality - Familiarity with supplier quality processes, audits, and supplier development activities
- Manufacturing Exposure - Experience with rubber, plastic, molding, extrusion, or related manufacturing processes preferred
- Industry Experience - Experience in IATF 16949 or other automotive manufacturing environments preferred
- Systems & Software - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other productivity tools and document control/ERP systems (e.g., Navision, Docuware, or similar platforms)
- Certifications - ASQ CQE and/or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- Soft Skills - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Travel - Ability to travel occasionally as needed
