Quality Technician

Pay: $28-$35/hour

Shift: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Location: Tulsa, OK

Professional Summary of Quality Technician

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our growing team! The Quality Technician will help ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This position will perform inspections, audits, testing, and quality documentation while working closely with production teams to identify, investigate, and resolve quality concerns.

Responsibilities of Quality Technician
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections, including fit-ups, welds, and final visual appearance.
  • Verify product conformance to customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other inspection equipment.
  • Complete quality audits and process verification checks throughout production.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Investigate nonconforming materials and products.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Record heat numbers and retrieve associated Material Test Reports (MTRs).
  • Support containment activities when quality issues arise.
  • Work closely with production personnel to identify and address quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Maintain compliance with ASME, customer, and company quality requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and quality initiatives.
  • Assist with training production employees on quality standards and inspection requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality processes.
Qualifications of Quality Technician
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience using inspection and precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with production teams.
Preferred Experience Quality Technician:
  • Experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ASME quality systems and requirements.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with welding or fabricated metal products.
