Temporary Laboratory Technician - Xia Lab

The Xia Lab is seeking a motivated Summer Laboratory Technician. This position is ideal for a high school student interested in gaining hands‑on experience in biomedical research.
Responsibilities- Assist with routine laboratory experiments and data collection
- Perform basic lab techniques, including:
- PCR and gel electrophoresis
- Histology, immunostaining and microscopy
- Assist with mouse colony maintenance and genotyping (if applicable)
- Organize laboratory reagents, supplies, and research records
- Participate in laboratory meetings and scientific discussions
- Strong interest in biomedical research
- Careful attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Full‑time summer position (generally 4‑8 weeks). Hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
