Position Summary
Merchandisers work in local stores to keep Coca‑Cola products fully stocked on the shelves. The position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.
Responsibilities- Maintains product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transports product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack, handtruck); uses hand tools; replenishes, faces, and rotates product.
- Builds, changes, and takes down product displays; maintains product signage; cleans product space; secures damaged or defective product.
- Manages backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock; identifies, monitors, and reports backstock inventory levels; evaluates and processes damaged or defective product; re‑packages product; organizes backroom materials (e.g., pallets, product shells).
- Operates powered equipment (e.g., straddle stacker, powered pallet jack) and manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
- Completes store documentation; cleans backroom; maintains areas of responsibility by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel; identifies and reports unsafe working conditions.
- Attends and completes company training and certifications; follows company and store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety; follows applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Uses a mobile device to complete work activities; operates a motor vehicle.
- Provides customer service to consumers and store personnel by identifying and resolving concerns; answers questions, locates product, and responds to assistance requests.
- Completes other projects or duties as assigned.
- At least 18 years of age or meet minimum state legal age requirements.
- Six months of work experience in a distribution warehouse environment, roofing, farmhand, grocery dock, construction, or similar positions requiring continuous heavy lifting.
- Reliable automobile transportation, acceptable driving record, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the company and state law.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 25–50 lb. regularly.
- Must pass a post‑offer drug test and background check.
- Beverage industry experience.
- Prior customer service experience in problem solving.
- One year experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks.
- Straddle stacker certification.
- Powered pallet jack certification.
- Repetitive lifting, carrying, and positioning objects up to 50 lb. without assistance.
- Repetitive pushing and pulling objects up to 50 lb. while kneeling, squatting, reaching above the head, at waist, below knees, and bending at knees.
- Repetitive pushing and pulling manual transport equipment containing product loads of at least 100 yards without assistance.
- Repetitive grasp and manipulation of objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.
- Exert physical effort over sustained periods to complete job activities.
- Read information in small, medium, and large print.
- Stand at least 6 hours during the workday.
- Walk at least 4 miles during the workday.
