Offers superior customer service while selling merchandise and assisting management with merchandising, inventory control, reservations, and special events preparation.
Responsibilities- Performs opening and closing procedures for the shop or store as determined by management.
- Responsible for accountability of POS transactions.
- Collects applicable fees from members/guests and outside patrons upon arrival.
- Makes court, clinic, lesson and special event reservations, in person or by phone.
- Assists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner.
- Assists with rotating stock and keeps displays clean and orderly.
- Assists with general cleaning of the shop or store.
- Assists shop supervisor with creating appealing displays.
- Assists with monthly physical inventories.
- May work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play times.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required or needed.
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Frequently stands, uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, and talks or hears.
- Regularly walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
- Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Noise level is moderate.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences- Ability to read and speak English.
- Active tennis player with knowledge of the game.
- Retail sales experience is preferred.
- Computer proficiency including POS, Microsoft Office, social media, and tennis-related programs such as or Club Automation.
