Salary: $33,000.00 – $35,000.00
Position SummaryMembers of the Langston University Police Department are committed to excellence and maintaining peace through lawfulness, diversity, service, integrity, leadership, and fair treatment of all individuals.
Essential Functions- Patrol campus areas on foot or by vehicle
- Investigate crimes and suspicious activity
- Enforce laws and university policies
- Respond to emergencies and render aid when necessary
- Complete detailed reports documenting incidents and daily activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other emergency services
- Monitor safety hazards and address security concerns
- Arrest suspects and support criminal investigations
- Collaborate with local and state law enforcement agencies
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have no felony convictions (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Experience in law enforcement or a related field is required
- High School/GED
- College degree preferred, but not required
- CLEET certification preferred, but not required after hire
