Diesel Mechanic

Position title

Candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of diesel equipment.

Responsibilities
* Must follow ALL OSHA, company, and job site safety rules
* Operate various pieces of large equipment (dozer, grader, front-end loader, and other related equipment)
* Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionality
* Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles
* Analyze diagnostic test results
* Repairing and replacing parts, engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components
* Inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment
* Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration
* Perform other duties when assigned Qualifications
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience
* Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
* Must be physically fit and be able to lift up to 150 pounds
* Valid Driver’s License
* Good diagnostic skills
* Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
* Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
* A keen eye to details and good decision making skills
* Work independently with minimum supervision
* Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if Needed
* Must be able to work well with others
* Must be able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather
* Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
* Good organization skills
