Night Shift

Hours:

1:30pm – 12:00am (Tuesday‑Friday), 4 days of 10‑hour shifts.

Electrician

Location:

McLean, VA

Compensation: $49.22 (hourly)

• Work from prints, diagrams, specification, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments.
• Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain, and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switch gear, control panels, regulators, and other electrical apparatus.
• Direct other electricians and repair personnel as required.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment for maintenance programs based on test data.
• Install conduit, wiring, and electrical apparatus.
• Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
• Maintain part and tool inventories.
• Conduct electrical surveys, including thermal imaging of panels, switchgears, and related equipment/parts.
• Complete Approved Design Changes (ADCs) as required.

• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Six years of maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade.
• High school diploma, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent.
• Thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
• Ability to write and comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Willingness to work rotational shift, including days, evenings, nights, overtime, call‑ins on weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

• Master Electrician License.
• NFPA‑70E training.
• OSHA 10 training.
• CPR training.
• Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Incumbents may work under conditions requiring operating industrial machinery, power tools and motor vehicles. The role requires walking, bending, squatting, carrying materials throughout the facility, and lifting weights greater than 50 pounds with two or more persons.
