Join WITRON as an Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain a state‑of‑the‑art automated material handling system in a fast‑paced distribution center. The role prioritizes safety, system performance, and the ability to perform both electrical and mechanical tasks.

Pay ranges between $30‑35 per hour.

WITRON offers premium shift differential pay for qualifying evening, night, or weekend shifts on top of the base pay, plus performance‑based bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Approach all tasks and situations with a safety‑first mindset, ensuring the well‑being of yourself and your team.
  • Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance activities.
  • Engage in a wide range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assist the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
  • Aid in the installation of new components or the refurbishment of existing system components.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities through comprehensive system knowledge and site‑specific enhancements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in industrial technology or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role required; 5 years plus preferred.
  • Strong skills in electrical (3‑Phase, 480 V, DC, and 24 V controls) and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors, gears).
  • Knowledge of control technology (PLC, inverters).
  • Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring programs.
  • Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
  • Working at heights of up to 80‑100 feet while wearing fall‑arrest gear and other PPE.
  • Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs unassisted.
