Mobile Building Services Engineer

About the roleWe’re looking for an experienced Mobile Building Services Engineer to join our growing engineering team, supporting a portfolio of commercial office and residential sites across Greater London and the South East.
You’ll be responsible for delivering planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and electrical building services, ensuring our clients’ buildings remain safe, compliant and operating effectively.
This is a varied mobile role where you’ll manage your workload across multiple sites, carry out fault finding and remedial works, and provide a professional and responsive service to our clients.
What you’ll be doing- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across client sites
- Maintaining and supporting a range of mechanical and electrical building services
- Identifying faults, diagnosing issues and completing remedial works
- Responding to reactive call‑outs and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently
- Completing maintenance records and updating jobs through CAFM and reporting systems
- Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with relevant compliance requirements
- Applying appropriate water hygiene practices, including ACOP L8 Legionella control
- Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
- Representing Pareto professionally across all client sites
- Participating in the 1 in 8 call-out rota
, with a £200 standby payment
To be considered, you’ll need:
- An apprenticeship or recognised training within an electrical or mechanical discipline
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Around 5 years' relevant experience within a similar building services, maintenance or FM engineering role
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Good working knowledge of ACOP L8 and Legionella control
- Confidence using IT systems including CAFM, email and maintenance reporting systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently within a mobile engineering environment
- A full, clean UK driving licence
