Administrative Coordinator - LEADS/Veterans Services POSITION DETAILS The Administrative Coordinator for LEADS/Veterans Services will report to the Student LEADS/Veteran's Support Specialist and assist with a variety of administrative duties. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Assists the Veteran's Support Specialist with student-centered programming, including workshops, orientation sessions, benefits information sessions, and networking opportunities.
• Coordinates services, advisement and administrative needs for LEADs students and student Veterans.
• Assists Veterans Specialist with the certification of VA education benefits/GI Bill Certifications.
• Provides one on one assistance to students (LEADS & Veterans) with referral of services and academic advisement.
• Organizes events for LEADS and Veteran students.
• Maintains records, updates files/databases, and prepares reports as needed.
• Assists with any other administrative tasks as needed.
• Assists with outreach and communications.
• Essential functions require in-person work/on-campus presence. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required. The following qualifications are preferred:
• Experience working in higher education setting
• Availability to work evening and weekend hours when required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are desirable CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.

- Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.

- Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

- Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.

- Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.

- Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.

- Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.

- May supervise office staff and student workers.

Administrative Coordinator CUNY TITLE Assistant to HEO FLSA Non-exempt COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $50,500 - $59,444;
Salary commensurate with education and experience. CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
