Design Management Lead

The LiRo Group seeks a Design Management Lead to oversee multidisciplinary design for complex transportation, infrastructure, and building projects. In this role, you will coordinate architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring design quality, constructability, and compliance with codes and client standards. You will manage design reviews, resolve technical issues, and align scope, budget, and schedule with project goals. Working in a collaborative, client-focused environment, you'll mentor staff, support innovation and problem-solving, and partner closely with construction teams to deliver impactful public and private projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design management for complex construction and infrastructure projects from concept through delivery
• Coordinate architects, engineers, and consultants to align design with client goals, budgets, and schedules
• Develop and maintain design standards, workflows, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability, risk, and value-engineering opportunities
• Facilitate design review meetings, resolve technical issues, and track decisions and approvals
• Collaborate with project managers on scope, schedule, and cost impacts of design changes
• Ensure adherence to building codes, regulatory requirements, and client standards
• Mentor junior design staff and support their technical and professional development
• Partner with construction teams to integrate design with field conditions and phasing
• Support client presentations, reporting, and stakeholder coordination
