Physician​/Family Practice​/Primary Care Provider

Position: Physician / Family Practice / New York / Permanent / Primary Care Provider Job
Location: The Bronx

A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician for a promising opportunity at one of their clinics in the Bronx as a Primary Care Provider. In this role, the Primary Care Provider will be responsible for screening, diagnoses, and treatment of patients for providing such care in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner, and for making appropriate internal and external referrals.

Responsibilities:
The Primary Care Provider will:
Provide comprehensive care to patients according to pre-arranged schedules Document care promptly and follow charting protocols Ensure appropriate follow-up for all aspects of ordered care (e.g., specialty referrals, laboratory results, radiology reports, etc.) Provide care to patients living with HIV Participate in didactics, precepting, and case conferencing in order to build competency in HIV care Assist in continuous quality improvement through ongoing problem/needs identification and problem-solving Maintain familiarity with clinical guidelines and current treatment protocols in areas, such as transgender health, GEN care, and STI care Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in a Medical Practice and/or similar setting Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York Board Eligible / Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and/or Infectious Disease specialty DEA Controlled Substances certification / registration CPR certification Desired
