  • Administer and interpret TABE assessments to determine student placement and measure learning gains
  • Facilitate remote asynchronous coursework using digital learning platforms
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student attendance, progress records, and required funder documentation
  • Collaborate with program staff to meet DYCD performance benchmarks and reporting requirements
  • Participate in professional development activities and staff meetings
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to the challenges and lived experiences of adult learners
  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and goal-oriented learning environment

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Liberal Arts, or a related field
  • Experience working with adult learners in an educational or community-based setting
  • Demonstrated ability to teach or willingness to learn to teach literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies at the ABE and adult education level
  • Experience or comfort working with students across a wide range of literacy levels
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn TABE assessment administration and interpretation
  • Comfort with technology; ability to facilitate remote and asynchronous learning
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a commitment to shared program goals

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with DYCD-funded adult education, literacy, or ABE programs
  • Familiarity with HSE/GED curriculum and instructional frameworks
  • Background in adult learning theory and trauma-informed instructional practice
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
