Building Substitute responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Skills/Requirements:
- Must demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality and remain for the entire work day
- Ability to work effectively and under the direction of others;
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret lesson plans and textbooks with clear oral and written presentation skills.
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and apply the same, including fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Effective classroom management strategies;
- Engaging instructional methods;
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills;
- Willingness to be collaborative and flexible, committed to self-improvement and holding self to the highest of expectations;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Passion and enthusiasm for students.
- Ability to speak, stand, talk, walk, see, hear,(corrected or uncorrected) and, sometimes, to sit.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to read small print.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach above the head, as well as forward, and use fine motor skills.
- Experience/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- One year of experience working with students.
