Assistant Teacher (Infant Toddler)

At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our Infant/Toddler Program. In this role, you'll work closely with the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, responsive classroom environment that supports each child's emotional and developmental growth. Your presence will help build a foundation of trust, safety, and learning for our youngest learners.
Responsibilities:- Support the Lead Teacher in guiding and supervising all classroom activities
- Implement daily routines and smooth transitions with warmth and consistency
- Foster a safe, engaging, and emotionally secure environment for infants and toddlers
- Build strong relationships with children and families through responsive interactions
- Promote developmental milestones through play-based learning and care
Position
Hours:
Monday-Friday From 8am-4pm
- A caring, upbeat personality and genuine love for working with young children
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience working with children ages birth-5 in a classroom setting preferred.
- Associate's Degree with a minimum of 12 credits in early childhood education/development
