Teaching Mentor
A teaching mentor is an experienced and successful classroom teacher who serves as a mentor to a resident teacher in the NYU Steinhardt Teacher Residency Program. Throughout the school year, mentors support and guide their residents in enhancing their teaching abilities, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, building relationships with scholars and families, and developing their unique teaching style. If you are interested in becoming a teaching mentor, please submit your application by the deadline.
This is a paid position, and mentors are expected to commit an average of 2 hours per week of work specific to the mentor role, which will not be a part of their regular schedule and is in addition to their teaching workload (a stipend will be provided).
