Position: Adjunct Lecturer in History - SUNY Maritime College          at SUNY Maritime College        in        Bronx,

Adjunct Lecturer

The Humanities Department of Maritime College, State University of New York is seeking applications for an adjunct lecturer position in History. The successful candidates will each teach sections of US and/or Global History. Experience teaching Maritime History preferred.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's in history or a closely related field.
  • College Teaching Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in History, or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Maritime History

Classification/Salary Range:
The Adjunct Lecturer is a non-tenure-track, part-time United University Professions (UUP) Position. For additional information, please see the Benefits At-A-Glance - UUP Part-time - SUNY.

Review of applications to commence immediately and will end when position is filled. Successful incumbent will start August 2026.

Special Notes:
This is a part-time appointment UUP position. Fair Labor Standard Acts (FLSA) Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
