Certified Nurses' Aide

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.

* Safely transfer and escort residents to and from activities, meals, and appointments in accordance with individual service plans.

* Serve meals to residents in the dining room or in their apartments as needed.

* Observe residents' eating habits and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse.

* Provide support to residents to promote comfort, safety, and emotional well-being.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents.

* Follow established care plans, policies, and procedures.

* Promote quality resident care in compliance with company standards, as well as state and federal regulations.

* Perform related non-professional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.

* Ability to work effectively under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care.

* Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, and transferring residents.

Education

* High School Diploma or GED required.
