Job Details:
Seeking a dynamic, innovative, and highly experienced Permanent School Occupational Therapist to join our collaborative healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students by helping them achieve their highest potential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and adolescents, possess excellent communication skills, and have a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of students with disabilities.

This full-time, permanent role is integral to our mission of providing comprehensive, high-quality care and education to our students.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' abilities and needs, with a focus on their academic performance, social and emotional development, and physical health.
2. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy programs for students, aimed at improving their ability to perform daily activities and reach their educational goals.
3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the effective implementation of occupational therapy interventions.
4. Provide guidance and training to school staff and families on how to support students' occupational therapy needs at school and at home.
5. Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential records of students' diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy, and apply this knowledge to improve treatment strategies.
7. Advocate for the inclusion and participation of students with disabilities in all school activities.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
2. Current state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
3. Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a SLP, preferably in a school setting is highly preferred, but will take new grads.
4. Proven experience conducting assessments and evaluations, and developing and implementing effective occupational therapy interventions.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and modify therapy plans as needed.
7. Knowledge of current laws and regulations relating to occupational therapy in schools.
8. Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
9. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
10. Proficiency in using computer software and technology for record keeping and communication.
