Dietary Aide

East Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 200-bed facility proudly serving the North East Bronx community. We provide short-term rehabilitation, sub-acute care, long-term nursing care, and in-house hospice services. Caring is our Commitment is more than just a motto—it’s our culture. We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team and support residents' nutritional needs with care and attention.

• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages following dietary guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
• Deliver meals to residents, following special dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Take inventory of kitchen supplies and food items, assisting with restocking as needed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including kitchen maintenance and general cleaning tasks.
• Assist in setting up and taking down dining areas before and after meals.
• Stay up to date on facility-specific dietary procedures, including state regulations.
• Support educational programs on nutrition and dietary wellness as needed.

• Prior experience in food service or healthcare settings preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow dietary guidelines, including therapeutic and kosher meal preparations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandated unless an appropriate medical exemption is provided.
• Availability to work mixed shifts (6 AM - 11 PM) and every other weekend is required.
